Pictures

I just set up my blog, and all the pics to the right are my favorites of the kids. But they aren't all new pictures. The one of Dante is over a year old. It is a picture we submitted in a "cutest baby" contest-- he came in the top 25 out of over 500! And Micah--- I love his haircut in that pic. But.....he decided to trim it himself recently. So Micah and Dante both have buzz cuts now! Dante will keep his, I am determined Micah's hair will grow out again.

This and That

I changed my profile, to tell a little more about us. Now I just need someone to read my blog! My life really is not that interesting, but this is a good way to keep friends updated on our progress.

This Saturday is our home school group's tag and bake sale! The tag sale funds will help all the families go on the Boston DUCK Tour next May. The bake sale funds are going to our adoption fundraising efforts! I have made and canned 34 jars total of jams and salsas. Nikita is having a lemonade stand, and since it is in the morning she plans to sell cocoa too. Tomorrow I will be baking zucchini bread and chocolate chip cookies. I hope lots of hungry and thirsty people stop by to support both causes!

The home school group is also in the middle of a Dutch Bulbs Fall fundraiser, on behalf of our adoption. Little by little, we will have the money we need. I have also been applying for grants, what a lot of writing the same things over and over!

We are Approved!!

We received our completed home study last week, and it was sent directly on to Taiwan for approval. I never thought I would hear this quickly though! Praise God, it has been decided that we are Sunny's family.

When the SW called, I was actually on my way out the door to take my oldest to an orthodontist appointment, so my head was spinning as I tried to take in all the information. I have to formally apply to the placement agency, and in the meantime official documents are being sent to us to be signed, notarized, and authenticated. Once all that is back in Taiwan we begin the 4-5 month court process wait, and then travel!! Naturally this is all in God's timing, but if He'd like to work a little with our timing then travel during February school break would be wonderful.

I intend to post again soon, going back to the beginning and actually giving some insight to who the Lindsay family is, because my profile really does not say much. I have to go cook dinner now, though.

New to this

I created this blog a few weeks ago and am still trying to figure it all out! My purpose here is to update our adoption progress....but there hasn't been any! We are expecting our home study update to be completed this week, and then it will be submitted for approval. Getting approval should take about another week. Shan Lin and Amelia would be such perfect sisters, I pray that we are approved to adopt her! They are only seven months apart in age.
